Read Newsletters on Your Kindle: Let Claude Do the Setup

Claude Code can run web requests, so it can drive the whole InboxToKindle setup through our agent API: creating your account, adding your Kindle or Boox, choosing a delivery schedule, subscribing you to newsletters and confirming them. If you also use Claude in Chrome, it can open your Amazon settings in your own browser and add the approved sender while you watch.

Paste this into your agent

Set up InboxToKindle for me by following https://inboxtokindle.com/agents.md
My email: <your email>
My e-reader: Kindle, Amazon country: <us, uk, de, mx...>
My Send-to-Kindle address: <name@kindle.com, or ask me>
Subscribe me to: <newsletter links>
Deliver: <instantly, or a daily digest at 7:00 in my time zone>

Agents and developers: the full API guide is at inboxtokindle.com/agents.md.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Paste the prompt into Claude Code

Open Claude Code in any folder, paste the prompt from this page and fill in your details. Claude reads inboxtokindle.com/agents.md and starts the setup.

Step 2: Approve Claude from your email

Claude shows you a short code. Open the email from InboxToKindle, check that the code matches and click Approve.

Step 3: Add the approved sender on Amazon

Claude gives you a link to your Amazon Personal Document Settings and the address to add. Do it yourself in a minute, or let Claude in Chrome do it in your browser.

Step 4: Tell Claude the code on your Kindle

Claude sends a welcome document to your Kindle. Read the 6-digit code from it back to Claude to verify the device.

Step 5: Have Claude subscribe you

Give Claude the newsletters you want. It subscribes your InboxToKindle address and confirms the subscription emails, then issues start arriving on your Kindle.

Pro Tips

  • 💡 Claude can also change your delivery time or switch you to a weekly digest later
  • 💡 Ask Claude to check /api/v1/newsletters to see what has been delivered
  • 💡 Claude in Chrome can complete the Amazon step without you copying anything
  • 💡 In the Claude apps without Claude Code, Claude can still read the guide and walk you through it

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this work in the Claude app or only in Claude Code?

The automatic setup needs an agent that can send web requests, which Claude Code can do. In a regular chat, Claude can read the guide and walk you through the steps, but you click through them yourself.

What do I still have to do myself?

Three things. Click Approve in the email InboxToKindle sends you, which proves the account is yours. Add one approved sender on your Amazon account, because Amazon has no way for any service to do that for you. Then read a 6-digit code off your Kindle so the agent can confirm delivery works. Boox owners skip the Amazon step.

Can the agent read my sign-in codes or reset my passwords?

No. Agents can only see and confirm newsletter subscription confirmations. Sign-in codes, magic links, password resets and other account-security emails are never available to them and always go to your real inbox.

Can the agent pay or upgrade me?

No. The agent can give you a checkout link, but only you can pay. The free plan includes 3 deliveries a month and Pro is unlimited for $10 a month or $100 a year.

How do I remove the agent's access?

Sign in to InboxToKindle, open API tokens, and revoke the token named after your agent. It stops working immediately.
