Let Your AI Agent Set Up Newsletters on Your Kindle

InboxToKindle has a setup API built for AI agents. Give your agent one sentence and it creates your account, connects your e-reader, sets your delivery schedule, subscribes your inbox address to newsletters and confirms those subscriptions. You approve it with one click and handle the single step Amazon reserves for you. It works with any agent that can make web requests, such as Claude Code, ChatGPT agent, OpenClaw, Gemini CLI or Cursor.

Paste this into your agent

Set up InboxToKindle for me by following https://inboxtokindle.com/agents.md
My email: <your email>
My e-reader: Kindle, Amazon country: <us, uk, de, mx...>
My Send-to-Kindle address: <name@kindle.com, or ask me>
Subscribe me to: <newsletter links>
Deliver: <instantly, or a daily digest at 7:00 in my time zone>

Agents and developers: the full API guide is at inboxtokindle.com/agents.md.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Give your agent the prompt

Paste the prompt on this page into your agent and fill in your email and the newsletters you want. The agent reads the setup guide at inboxtokindle.com/agents.md and does the rest.

Step 2: Approve the agent from your email

InboxToKindle emails you an approval link. Check that the code in the email matches the one your agent shows you, then click Approve. If you are new, this also creates your account.

Step 3: Add the approved sender on Amazon

Your agent gives you a direct link to your Amazon Personal Document Settings and the exact address to add. This is the one step only you can do, because Amazon offers no API for it. A browser agent working in your own Amazon session can do it for you if you allow it.

Step 4: Read back the code from your Kindle

The agent sends a welcome document to your Kindle with a 6-digit code. Tell your agent the code and your Kindle is verified.

Step 5: Let the agent subscribe you

The agent signs up for your newsletters with your InboxToKindle address and confirms the subscription emails for you. New issues then arrive on your Kindle automatically.

Pro Tips

  • 💡 Ask the agent to set a daily digest if you prefer one document each morning
  • 💡 Ask for a custom inbox address, such as yourname@inboxtokindle.com, before subscribing
  • 💡 Turn on automatic confirmations so new subscriptions confirm themselves
  • 💡 Chat-only assistants that cannot make web requests can still read the guide and walk you through it

Frequently Asked Questions

Which AI agents can set up InboxToKindle?

Any agent that can make web requests: coding agents such as Claude Code, Gemini CLI and Cursor, personal agents such as OpenClaw, and ChatGPT in agent mode. Assistants limited to chat can explain the steps but cannot make the API calls themselves.

What do I still have to do myself?

Three things. Click Approve in the email InboxToKindle sends you, which proves the account is yours. Add one approved sender on your Amazon account, because Amazon has no way for any service to do that for you. Then read a 6-digit code off your Kindle so the agent can confirm delivery works. Boox owners skip the Amazon step.

Can the agent read my sign-in codes or reset my passwords?

No. Agents can only see and confirm newsletter subscription confirmations. Sign-in codes, magic links, password resets and other account-security emails are never available to them and always go to your real inbox.

Can the agent pay or upgrade me?

No. The agent can give you a checkout link, but only you can pay. The free plan includes 3 deliveries a month and Pro is unlimited for $10 a month or $100 a year.

How do I remove the agent's access?

Sign in to InboxToKindle, open API tokens, and revoke the token named after your agent. It stops working immediately.
